A Student Reading

What follows are pictures from Friday’s student reading, which was just terrific. The reading took place at Night Heron, a fine bookstore in Laramie. Photos were taken by Samantha Mundhenk, who is married to Justin Mundhenk, who is reading here:

Justin read about deer and vomit and growing up in Ohio. This was also a novel excerpt.

Meanwhile, Tasha LeClair read of talking trees and heels and a salamander, who, like the trees, spoke well:

Look at Katie Booms, reading a poem about Detroit in a hat from Detroit:

The MFA Fiction Band, currently without another title, played some songs in between readers. The set included a killer cover of “Suspicious Minds,” accompanied by Justin’s falsetto harmony. That’s Caleb Johnson belting it out. That’s me hiding a bit from the camera:

Thanks for coming out, everyone. See you next month!
